LSAT Takers At All Time High

The number of LSAT takers continues to rise.  Between 2006 and 2009, the number of takers has increased from 48,171 in 2006 to 60,746 in 2009.  The 2009 number is a significant increase from the number of 2008 test takers (50,721).  The implications of these increased numbers has yet to be determined.  Does the increased number of applicants mean a larger entering class of first year law students this year?  How many of these test takers are doing a redo?  How many of these test takers are just testing the waters?
